Learn how to setup Production options also known as Spruce Tallies

Product options allow you to create multiple different quantities with different calculations for pricing.

Numeric Input

Important: All listed increments can be given only a single UOM conversion value that will calculate to the products UOM Price. For example, Inches to Feet.

Numeric Input Option (Random length or Fixed length tally)

Setup in Admin

Go to the EvolutionX Admin and create or select the simple product you want to add an options.

Then select the "Options" tab and click on the plus button to add a new option to the product.

A modal will open to select the type Numeric input field or Qty increments (see examples below) and to introduce a name for the tally option.

After that you can add one or multiple options to the tally option. For each option should be set a label and a value. Note when the user insert a quantity for some option, that quantity will be multiplied by the correspondent option value.

πŸ‘ Important: Decimal support in storefront. Both Numeric input field and Qty increments will allow the user to insert quantities with decimals if the Minimum Order Quantity field inside the product is defined to be a decimal.

Spruce Tallies (LBMH ERP)

  2. Pull to length - Configurable product

    1. The Pull to Length tally items should be set up in EvolutionX as configurable products. See this article to know more about configurable products.

  3. Unit Of Measure - Coming soon

    1. Set up the item as a Unit of Measure option. Instead of setting a real value for the conversion value, set this value to 1, since the conversion value used will be the one configured in Spruce.

    2. The total quantity field will be available, allowing the user to enter the desired quantity. This value will then be broken down into the appropriate option quantities based on the conversion values defined in Spruce.

UOM Setup for Spruce

If you want to have products in EvolutionX with different unit of measure than your default UOM in Spruce,

  1. Add the desired UOM to the Products' Pack UOM field.

  2. Go to Store Settings >> General >> Store Preferences and under Live Pricing section toggle on the option Include UOM.

πŸ‘ Important: You will need to set all you products Pack UOM field, not just the products that have a different UOM from the default in Spruce.

Storefront

In storefront the product with Unit of Measure options will show like the following example:

The total that the user adds to the cart will be the sum of the options quantities multiplied by their conversion values, and the UOM will be the main UOM of the product.
