Imagine having the ability to push exclusive sales & marketing content, specifically aimed towards products, categories & keyword searches within the store? You can by utilizing the powerful rule restrictions within banner, item & brand groups!
In this article, I will walk you through some best practice when applying rule restrictions to banner groups. The same walk through will apply to your item merchandising and brand groups, so hopefully this will get you moving in the right direction!
As always, I would strongly recommend you read the below articles which are based around this subject;
Lets use the Banner Groups as our example.
Once you have created your Banner Group, you will notice some additional options.
Restricted To Rules
Restricted To Rules allows us to add rule sets to your banners so they only appear when a product, category, keyword or brand is accessed. This is a great way to drive your customers to the products you want to promote - perhaps more profitable lines or items you hold locally in stock?
💡 For example; when a customer accesses your paper category, rather than having to browse through hundreds of products, why not drive a banner to the category & product pages highlighting your own brand paper at a promotional price? The banner would be linked through to your landing page showcasing the products and prices!
Lets walk through some each of the restriction options;
