A Quick List is a feature that allows users to easily organize and manage products they are interested in. Quick Lists, sometimes called favorites, are designed to help users keep track of items they wish to purchase, compare, or revisit later. This feature is particularly useful for creating shopping lists, and wish lists, or for saving items for future reference.

Quick Lists are standard product lists enhanced with advanced tools, allowing users to do much more, such as:

  • Organizing products into Quick List Groups.

  • Adding up to 100 products to the basket simultaneously.

  • Adding a single product to the basket with a single click.

  • Setting default quantities for products.

  • Copying multiple products to another group or different quick list.

  • Moving multiple products to another group or different quick list.

  • Removing multiple products at once from a group or different quick list.

User access to Quick Lists varies depending on their assigned role. Users may have the ability to view existing Quick Lists, create new Private Quick Lists, or share Quick Lists with other members within the company.

Users with only view access to Quick Lists

Users with "View-Only" permissions for Quick Lists can access and view existing Quick Lists but are restricted from making any changes. This includes the inability to create new Quick Lists, add products to existing lists, edit the line reference, or delete or modify any lists. They are limited to viewing the content within the lists for informational purposes.

Users with Add Quick Lists permissions

Add/Create a Quick List

When a user's role includes permission to add Quick Lists, a "New Quick List" button will appear in the Quick Lists menu. By selecting this button, the user can then define the name and description for the new Quick List.

Users can also create Quick Lists while adding products by selecting the "New List" option during the process.

Add products to Quick Lists

If a user has the appropriate role or specific permissions to add or edit Quick Lists, the "Add to Quick List" button will be visible on the storefront. This feature enables users to efficiently add items to an existing Quick List or create a new one directly from the storefront.

Add products to the basket

Users can easily add multiple products to their basket by selecting the desired items and clicking the designated button. Each product will be added with its minimum order quantity by default. Additionally, multiple items can be added to the basket simultaneously.

Update default quantities

Customers who frequently purchase certain items in specific quantities can now save a default quantity for each product by clicking the Update Default Quantity button. Updating this quantity will impact all users who have access to that Quick List

Note: When a product is selected using the checkbox, the quantity entered will be remembered as long as the checkbox remains checked. If the page is refreshed, the selected quantity will persist instead of reverting to the default quantity.

Copy products to a different quick list

To copy products to a different Quick List, begin by selecting the desired products from your current list. Once selected, expand the context menu located next to the "Add to Basket" button, and choose the "Copy" option. This allows you to efficiently transfer the selected items to another Quick List without altering the original list.

Move products to a different quick list

To move products to a different Quick List, first select the items you wish to relocate. After making your selection, expand the context menu located next to the "Add to Basket" button, and click on the "Move" option. This action will transfer the selected items to the chosen Quick List and remove them from the original one.

Note: You can also select items from different pages, and the selection will remain intact as you navigate between pages, ensuring a seamless moving process across your Quick Lists.

Remove products from a quick list

To remove multiple products from a Quick List, select the items you want to delete. After selecting, expand the context menu next to the "Add to Basket" button, and choose the "Remove" option. This will remove all selected products from the Quick List in one action, simplifying the process of managing and updating your lists.

Adding up to 100 items at once to the basket

Some products can be selected but if they can not be added to the basket for any reason (prevent adding when out of stock, call for price, quote me), these products will be skipped.

Which means, a customer might have more than 100 items selected and still be able to add the selection to the basket.

The limitation can be reduced if the setting in Store Preferences > Order Settings > Cart items limit is lower than 100

Quick List Groups

These groups allow items within a quick list to be organized and filtered by categorizing them into one or more groups, improving product management and navigation.

Quick List Groups offer the following features:

  • Add a product to one or multiple groups.

  • Set different default quantities for the same product within each group.

  • Use multi-select to add or move products between groups within a quick list.

  • Arrange the order in which groups appear in the filters area.

FAQs

What does the screen Validating products do when adding the selected products to the basket?

When a product is selected, the minimum order quantity, multiples of, unit of measure and selected quantity are remembered.

The selection is stored in the browser's session and that selection can be remembered for a long time, especially if the user keeps the same tab open for a long period of time and restores all tabs each time the browser is reopened.

For that reason, if the unit of measure or minimum quantity order for example changes, when the user finally decides to add the products to the basket, it can happen that these values will now be different from when the user selected the product.

If that happens, this validation will fail and take the user to a screen to display what changed and let them decide if they still want to proceed.
