Give your customers the ability to display only products that are in stock

⚠️ Important : The In Stock Filter works with only some live inventory providers. If you are not seeing it working with your live inventory provider or ERP. Ask our staff and we will investigate.

To help prevent back orders for products that aren't in stock, you can now have a 'Products In Stock Only' toggle on the storefront. When enabled it displays on all results and product list pages.
To enable this feature, in your adminscreen navigate to Products > Inventory > Settings and you'll see the 'Show Stock Filter' toggle, slide this on, hit save and that's it live!

On your storefront, customers will now see the toggle (be default this is always off so as not to restrict products displaying initially).


Upgraded In-Stock Toggle: New Features & Settings

Overview

We have introduced an upgrade to the In-Stock Toggle feature in EvoX Admin for users with specific ERPs, starting with Spruce ERP and potentially expanding to others in the future. This update provides additional filtering options within the Show Stock Filter in the Inventory Settings area.

New Dropdown Options

For users with compatible ERPs, the Show Stock Filter is now a dropdown with the following options:

1. Off – Disables the stock filter.

2. Filter for All Inventory Types – Searches across all branches for available products.

3. Filter for Branch Items Only – Filters stock based on the current branch only.

How the Filters Work

  • Filter for All Inventory Types: When a customer enables the In-Stock Toggle on the storefront, the system will check all branches for product availability and return results from any location where the item is in stock.

  • Filter for Branch Items Only: When enabled, the system will check only the branch the customer is currently viewing, and return results specific to that location.

Customizing the Toggle Name

If you want to rename the In-Stock Toggle on the storefront, follow these steps:

1. Go to EvoX Admin > Settings > Translations.

2. Search for "In Stock" in the Translations area.

3. Enter your custom translation (e.g., "Available for Pickup," "In Branch" or another label of your choice).

4. Save your changes – the new name will be applied across all branches and customers.

Conclusion

This enhancement provides greater flexibility for managing product availability on the storefront. Users can choose between global and branch-specific inventory views and even rename the toggle to match their business terminology.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Why do some products show "Not Stocked at This Location" or "Call for Price"?

If a product appears in search with the label "Not Stocked at This Location" or "Call for Price", it means that the product is not available at the current Spruce Branch but is available at a different branch. This can happen if you stock some products only in certain branches. Change your setting to filter for branch items only.
