Content pages are custom web pages. These are a way to add your own content like blogs, special offer landing pages etc. Content pages can also be customized by adding widgets through custom layouts which we will demonstrate in this article.

Content pages can be accessed via "Marketing" module.

Here, you will see a list of any content pages you have created.

To create a new content page, Click on "New content page" on the top of the screen.

Now, you will need to complete the relevant Details.

Name (REQUIRED) : Name of the content page
Slug (REQUIRED): A forward slash extension to your URL, such as www.mystore.com/offers-on-fans ("offers-on-fans" is slug).  Note: the system will automatically create a URL Key/Slug based on the content page name.

Next section is Content. There is a nice wysiwyg (what you see is what you get) HTML editor through which you can add text / picture(s) or even a table!. This material will then appear on your content page. This editor also gives you a number of different options to format your text. In our example, I would like to have a big banner appear on top of my page. Hence I will be making use of the "insert / edit image" option.

Next section is Meta information. This is where you can enter information to further utilize SEO capability.

And now a custom layout can be applied to this content page.  Custom layouts will allow you to make of use of our drag & drop widgets.

👍For more information on how to create custom layouts, check out this handy article.

In this example, I have already created a custom layout called "Great deals on fans".

💡 On your layout, the content widget is basically what you have already created in the wysiwyg (our fans banner) - this can be re-positioned on your layout.

In the picture below from our custom layout, CONTENT widget is added on the top, with ITEM MERCHANDISING in the middle and BRANDS widget at the bottom.

You will also notice a "Page Hidden Until Login" button which can be used to disable the page until a user has logged in - this means you can make it available to account customers only.

Once you're done, click "Publish". That's it - Job done!

Your content page should look like below :
